What are the UK shipping and delivery costs?

All Bullion, Collector Coins and Gold Bars are sent using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service.

We offer two options for Jewellery items: a recommended option to use Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service at a flat rate fee of £6.99 as this means your items are insured. Alternatively, you may choose to have your items sent by Royal Mail’s Recorded Signed For™ service at a cheaper rate of £2.99 although please note that Royal Mail does not insure jewellery with this service. Therefore, if you choose to have your jewellery items sent by Recorded Signed For™, Crystal Karat will not be responsible for any lost or missing items in the post.

All accessory items will be sent using Royal Mail’s Recorded Signed For™ service at a flat rate fee of £2.99. 

Note: Regardless of what you purchase; if your order exceeds £500.00 we will send it via Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service.

How will my goods be dispatched?

All our packages are sent using Royal Mail’s postal services. This service requires a signature on receipt. All jewellery and accessory items are sent via Royal Mail’s Recorded Signed For™ service and all other items are dispatched via Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service.

Do you ship worldwide, outside the UK?

We now offer shipping outside the UK and Channel Islands but only to certain International Countries which we have listed below.

- European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

What are the International shipping and delivery costs?

All International orders are sent using Royal Mail’s International Signed For™ service which is a cost-effective and secure delivery service that requires a signature on delivery.

Europe and Switzerland: For orders up to £50, the shipping cost is a set fee of £9.95 and any orders over £50 have a set shipping charge of £12.45. We also offer International Signed For™ Split my Items for orders between £500 and £5,000 and this service costs between £24.95 and £39.95, depending on your total order.

USA & Canada: For orders to the USA and Canada up to the value of £50, the shipping cost is a set fee of £9.99 and orders over £50 have a set shipping fee of £12.98. We also offer International Signed For™ Split my Items for orders between £500 and £5,000 and this service costs between £24.99 and £47.25, depending on your total order. 

Australia & New Zealand: For orders to both Australia and New Zealand up to the value of £50, there is a set shipping cost of £10.99. Any order that exceeds £50 is subject to a set shipping cost of £14.99. We also offer International Signed For™ Split my Items for orders between £500 and £5,000 and this service costs between £26.20 and £47.95, depending on your total order.

Note: We recommend shipping and delivery via Royal Mail’s International Signed For™ service as it offers customers the best value-for-money service. However, upon checkout, you may also choose to have your items sent via a courier service which costs between £60 and £170 depending on your order total.

Are there any delivery customs and tax charges?

All or any customs and taxation charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

When can I expect to receive my order?

We estimate all delivery of goods between 3 and 5 working days. In most cases, all products advertised on the website are in stock and ready for immediate dispatch thus posted within one working day. If for whatever we reason, we anticipate there will be a delay, we will let you know by email as soon as possible.

For all international orders, we estimate delivery of goods between 3 – 8 working days but this is dependent on the shipping service selected. All international orders are processed within 48 hours from placing an order.

Will my Bullion or Coins arrive safely via Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service?

We trust Royal Mail’s postal services and all orders via Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service is insured by Royal Mail up to the value of £2,500.

Will my Bullion or Coins arrive safely via Royal Mail’s International Signed For™ service?

We trust Royal Mail’s postal services and all orders dispatched via Royal Mail’s International Signed For™ service is insured for loss/damage by Royal Mail up to the value of £500. It is in your best interest to not sign for any packages that have been tampered with or opened.

What is the International Signed For™ Split my Items service?

We understand that courier services are expensive and as such, we aim to offer our customers a value-for-money postal service. If you order more than two or three items, we will split your ordered items and send them in two or three different postal bags. As one postal bag is only insured up to the value of £500, we believe that splitting up your items is safer but is also still much cheaper than a courier service.

What is the maximum cover I will receive if I choose to have my items shipped by a courier to an international destination?

Courier services can carry gold items but only offer cover for loss of items and do not cover damage of items. The maximum cover is up to £1,000.

 

I have placed a Bullion order but I have changed my mind. Can I get a refund?

By submitting a bullion order, you agreed to purchase your products at the specified rate. If you cancel your order before we dispatch your item, you will be subject to a 3% administration fee which will be deducted from your total order bill before any refund is made. As our products are subject to precious metal market fluctuations, a ‘cooling off’ period under the Distance Selling Regulations does not apply.

Do you offer a guarantee?

All of our products are marketed and sold as shown on the website. If however, upon receipt of your goods, you are unhappy with your purchase i.e. the item(s) are faulty, damaged or defective; then you must notify us in writing immediately and return it to us in its original condition within seven days for an exchange or refund. Until that time, you have a duty to take care of the item(s) in your possession. You must return the product(s) in tamper-proof packaging ideally using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service. Once your item has been received by us, you will receive a full refund via your original payment method.

Do you offer refunds on Gold Bullion, Collector Coins and Metal Bars?

Crystal Karat aims to describe all products as accurately as possible so as to ensure customers are fully satisfied with the product prior to making a purchase. Bullion, Collector Coins and Metal Bars are exempt from the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 as gold is a currency.

However, should you decide to return any gold bullion, collector coins or metal bars; please note that these products will need to re-assessed on receipt and refunds will be 10% below the current metal spot price. Goods must be returned within 4 days from receipt in their original packaging and preferably using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service or a courier service. Crystal Karat reserves the right not to accept any damaged or tampered with packages and is not responsible for any items lost in the post.

Do you offer refunds on Jewellery items?

If for any reason, you wish to return jewellery items, you must take reasonable care of them whilst in your possession until you return them. Please contact us in writing within 7 working days from receipt of the item stating your order number and the reason for returning an item. Goods must be returned in their original packaging and condition within 10 days from receipt of the item(s), preferably using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service as jewellery items are insured under this service. Crystal Karat will not be responsible for postage costs for returning item(s) but full order or item refunds will be provided via your original payment method upon receipt of the item. Crystal Karat reserves the right not to accept any damaged or tampered with packages and is not responsible for any items lost in the post.

Do you offer refunds on Accessory items?

Crystal Karat aims to describe all products as accurately as possible so as to ensure customers are fully satisfied with the product prior to making a purchase. Goods must be returned within 14 days from receipt in their original packaging and preferably using Recorded Signed For™ or Royal Mail’s Special Delivery™ service. Crystal Karat reserves the right not to accept any damaged or tampered with packages and is not responsible for any items lost in the post. 

My order has not arrived, I would like a refund.

Crystal Karat is not responsible for any items lost in the post. We provide all of our customers with clear shipping options to choose from and we recommend the postal services of Royal Mail Signed For option in all cases (within the UK and abroad). If however, you did choose a Signed For service and your items have still not arrived within the estimated timeframe, drop us a message and we try to Track and Trace your items. If the Track and Trace system states your items have been lost, then we will be more than happy to offer you a full refund.
